The Exploits River Trestle Bridge in the Newfoundland and Labrador T’Railway Provincial Park, Bishop’s Falls, will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11. This closure is necessary to facilitate the fireworks display that will be a part of Bishop’s Falls River Fest 2016.

Over $150 Million Available for Water, Wastewater and Public Transit Systems

Over $150 million in cost-shared municipal funding has been made available to communities in Newfoundland and Labrador to support water, wastewater and public transit systems, as the result of an agreement to implement the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund and the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund in the province. The Federal Government is contributing a total of $75 million; the Provincial Government is contributing $44 million, and the remainder will be provided by the recipient municipalities.
