Students to Benefit from $15.3 Million School Contract in Gander

A contract valued at approximately $15.3 million has been awarded for the construction of a new Grade 4-6 school in Gander. This new school proactively addresses the increased student enrollment in the community and has been designed to accommodate up to 450 students. The simulator is the latest in training technology for the offshore oil and gas sector. It will be used to train new and existing offshore personnel to perform complex tasks such as positioning and mooring offshore rigs and supply platforms in harsh working environments. The event takes place at the Marine Institute, 155 Ridge Road, St. John's at 10:30 a.m.
