Fire Fighters Deployed Under Mutual Aid Resource Sharing Agreement

To support Albertans as they battle the province’s forest fires, 11 fire fighters from the Forestry and Agrifoods Agency will be deployed to Alberta this week as part of a forest fire suppression team. This follows the recent deployment of a government employee to act as International Liaison Officer with the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre in Winnipeg and another employee travelling to Ontario to assume the role of Logistics Section Chief Trainee.

The Federal Government has deferred the province's payments under the Equalization Repayable Floor Loan.
