Red Tape Awareness Week Recognized by Provincial Government

Five Communities to Receive Broadband Service

As part of the Provincial Government’s commitment to providing leading edge telecommunications services and infrastructure, $251,790 is being invested in rural broadband access. Five rural Newfoundland and Labrador communities will receive broadband coverage as a result of the investment. Province Launches 2016 Tourism Advertising Campaign

Newfoundland and Labrador’s 2016 tourism advertising campaign was officially launched today with the release of the latest television ad under the successful Find Yourself campaign. Entitled Crayons, the new ad features colourful place names from various regions of the province, such as Rose Blanche and Flower’s Cove. For the first time, the television spot features a musical score with lyrics. The song Colours, written by Kira Willey, is performed by Catherine Allan of Fortunate Ones.

Renovation Work Improves Social Housing in Burin

Exterior and interior modernization and improvement work is currently underway on two social housing properties in Burin. Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation (NLHC) awarded a $131,000 contract to Cox’s Construction Ltd. to undertake the work on the homes, located on Topsail Road in Burin.
