Premier Brian Gallant will host a meeting of Atlantic Premiers and members of the Federal Cabinet representing Atlantic Canada in Fredericton on February 10, 2016. Premier Gallant will be joined by his colleagues Premier Dwight Ball of Newfoundland and Labrador, Premier Stephen McNeil of Nova Scotia, and Premier Wade MacLauchlan of Prince Edward Island. Premiers are pleased to welcome Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons; Honourable Judy Foote, Minister of Public Services and Procurement; Honourable Scott Brison, President of the federal Treasury Board; Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food; and Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, to this unprecedented meeting of Atlantic premiers and federal ministers.

Momentum Gains for Government Renewal Initiative

Since its launch on January 12, thousands of residents have been sharing their thoughts, ideas and solutions as part of the Government Renewal Initiative. Far surpassing previous budget engagement activities in the province, over 240 people have attended sessions in Rocky Harbour, Corner Brook and St. John’s; and many more people are expected at upcoming sessions throughout the province over the next couple of weeks. To date, over 1,100 ideas from individuals have been provided through the online Dialogue App.
