Health and Wellness -- Government is increasing public safety by making paramedics a self-regulating profession.

Education and Early Childhood Development -- The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is already taking action to address recommendations outlined today, Nov. 18, in the auditor general's audit of the Halifax, Chignecto and Strait regional school boards.

Public Prosecution Service -- Dell Wickens has been appointed a Crown attorney in the Yarmouth office of the Public Prosecution Service.

Justice -- The process for Nova Scotians dealing with child and spousal support orders between provinces and territories will be clarified with changes to the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act introduced today, Nov. 17.

Immigration -- Nova Scotians wishing to offer support for refugees who will soon settle in the province can call 211.

Natural Resources -- Nova Scotia's tall, green Christmas gift for Boston is wrapped and ready for sending after a celebration in Lorne, Pictou Co., today, Nov. 17.

Municipal Affairs -- Nova Scotians are invited to celebrate their communities and the people who lead them during Municipal Awareness Week from Nov. 16 to Nov. 22.

Service Nova Scotia -- The Access Nova Scotia Centre at 80 Logan Rd., Bridgewater and the Land Registry Office, located at 270 Logan Rd., Bridgewater will both be closed Friday, Nov. 20.

Community Services -- Government is supporting a project in New Victoria, Cape Breton Regional Municipality that will increase accessibility at a local volunteer fire department.

Public Service Commission -- A tentative agreement has been reached today, Nov. 13, between government and the Nova Scotia Government Employees Union.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Nova Scotia Strategic Opportunities Fund Incorporated has provided a $2 million loan to EPC Industries Limited of Amherst.
