Arbitration Decision, Statement from Minister

Labour Relations -- The following is a statement from Mark Furey, Minister of Labour Relations, following today’s arbitration decision regarding the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU). The decision can be found here: https://novascotia.ca/psc/public-service-sustainability-mandate/. The decision of the arbitrator came as the conclusion to a process that was fair for all involved. I thank the parties involved in the process for their efforts. The decision is fair and affordable. It can be managed within the province’s fiscal plan.
