Premier's Office -- Natural Resources Minister Lloyd Hines is taking a brief leave of absence from his ministerial duties to tend to a personal health issue.

Nova Scotia Securities Commission -- The Nova Scotia Securities Commission has issued a similar order against Timothy Wade MacDonald to one previously issued by the Nova Scotia Provincial Court.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. -- Nova Scotia Business Inc. announced the first approved productions through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund (NSFPIF) today, Sept. 22.

Environment -- The Department of Environment has issued an operating approval to Scotian Materials Ltd., for a quarry under four hectares on Perrin Drive, near Fall River, Halifax Regional Municipality.

Communities, Culture and Heritage -- Join the province's biggest book club by reading this year's One Book Nova Scotia selection, Just Beneath My Skin by Darren Greer.

Nova Scotia Securities Commission -- The Nova Scotia Securities Commission is holding a free public information session on the new rules for the equity crowdfunding exemptions on Oct. 15.

Service Nova Scotia -- Service Nova Scotia issued a Request for Supplier Qualifications today, Sept. 22, as part of an ongoing process to explore the feasibility of alternative service delivery partnership opportunities for three registries.

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal -- CBCL Limited, an Atlantic Canadian engineering and environmental design company, has won the tender to conduct a feasibility study on tolling.

Energy -- Government is supporting three sustainable transportation projects in Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley.

Finance and Treasury Board -- Finance and Treasury Board Minister Randy Delorey confirmed government's commitment to strong fiscal management amidst continuing economic uncertainty in government's first budget 2015-16 update.

Premier's Office -- Premier Stephen McNeil, Minister responsible for Military Relations, acknowledged the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain today, Sept. 20, and the brave Canadians who fought for freedom, peace and democracy.

Housing Nova Scotia -- Government is taking new steps to treat the water system at Alderney Manor in Dartmouth, to address a recent outbreak of Legionnaires disease.

Agriculture -- Nova Scotians will have an opportunity to learn about the economic and health benefits of local organic products during National Organic Week, Sept. 19-27.

Education and Early Childhood Development -- A site has been selected and approved for a new, modern school to replace LeMarchant-St. Thomas Elementary School in Halifax.

Energy -- Government is supporting continued work on the Grand Lake Multi-use Path in Sydney, connecting residents and visitors with even more community hubs in the city.
